It was decided upon to demand Germany's unconditional surrender and create the United Nations.
The United Nations was formed to promote international peace and had 50 countries originally join. This organization is still active to this day and has 193 countries.
The Nuremberg Trials were held in order to bring people like Nazi Party Officials and Military Officers to Justice. The verdict sentenced many people to either death or imprisonment.
I sentence 12 Nazi Officials to death and 7 to imprisonment
Adolf Hitler commit suicide in an underground bunker by consuming a cyanide capsule and shooting himself with a pistol. He did this before he could be brought to trial.
The economy in the United States strived after the war, since women who filled in for men's jobs continued to work.
