  • what : spies in the civil war - south when : 1861
  • why : rose fought for her ideas and we should be celebrating that even if we do not agree with those same ideas.  how : she used her influence to aid the southern cause. She also established an elaborate spy network in Washington.  
  • Surprise information : she got her nickname "wild rose" because of her olive kin and complexion
  • rose o'neal greenhow hurt us because she was spying for the confederacy and the the union.
  • extra information : her oldest daughter, Florence, married Seymour Treadwell moore who strangely enough was a union captain
