Storyboard Description

Andrew Jackson the president at that time made an "Indian removal policy".To make all the Indians give up all of their lands, farms, and houses from east of the Mississippi river and migrate to Oklahoma.Because of the treaty of new Echota which was an agreement act for the Indian removal policy. This was never accepted by tribal leaders (John Ross) of the Cherokee tribe or a majority of Cherokee people. Over 4,000 out of 15,000 Cherokees died. But they had no choice they where forced for removal. President Andrew Jackson's military and most certainly his own life was saved by the aid of nearly 500 allies at the horseshoe bend battle in 1814 which most where part of the Cherokee tribe .But unbelievably Andrew Jackson had authorized the Indian removal act in the year of 1830.
