This new law is total bogus! I deserve to see my family and give them a good life.
I agree I do not like the law either, but I promise we will get your family into Texas. No matter what it takes.
The Texans did not like this new law, AT ALL. It preventing their families from coming to Texas and that angered them.
In the cartoon, a Texan leader is speaking to a Texan settler about getting his family into Texas. Many of the settlers wanted this as well.
Settlers like this were common at the time. Many meetings ended up being in leaders houses, such as the background shows.
