  • Dad concluded, "I think someone just tried to kill one of our animals" (Gibbs 12).
  • Propells the Action by...
  • Teddy asked, " "You mean, you want me to help investigate?"
  • J.J. replied, "I'd like you to aid in the inquiry, yes" " (Gibbs 64).
  • Outcome
  • Bonnie asked in surprise," "Athmani was in on this?"
  • Teddy pointed to Hondo and said, "It was his idea. But Athmani made it all happen" " (Gibbs 328).
  • In FunJungle, America's most popular zoo, a rifle shot goes off. An elephant stampede is started, other animals are scared and the workers are worried about the shot. Since FunJungle has lots of exotic animals, poaching is a problem, and Teddy Fitzroy, his dad, and other employees at the park are worried that someone is trying to kill one of their animals.
  • Initial Dialogue or Event
  • Marge informed, "Early this morning, there was a crime committed on these premises that I'm positive Teddy here was a part of: the burglarizing of Carly Cougar's Candy Corner" (Gibbs 53).
  • During the two previous cases, Teddy helped out in the investigation, and both times, Teddy solved the case. Now, the CEO of FunJungle, J.J. McCracken, wants Teddy to investigate this case. At first, Teddy didn't want to, but J.J. talked him into it.
  • Propells the Action by...
  • After lots and lots of investigation, Teddy realizes that Athmani, one of the workers at FunJungle, was the "hunter". He was trying to make everyone think that someone was trying to kill Rhonda so that he could take off the rhino's horns and steal them. Teddy caught on and stopped Hondo, J.J.'s daughter's bodyguard, with an elephant stampede, knocking him unconscious. Then he told Bonnie, the head elephant keeper what was happening, and she caught Athmani.
  • Outcome
  • In the middle of his investigation, Teddy is stopped by Marge O'Malley, one of the security officers at Funjungle, who hates him. He calls her Large Marge for her size. Marge stoppes Teddy, Summer McCracken and Hondo and accuses Teddy of vandalizing a candy store by throwing a trash can through the window of the store and stealing all of its contents.
  • Teddy watches the demolition and sanitation workers clean up the wreckage from the elephant stampede that was caused by the gunshot. Two of the workers are having trouble moving the trash can. Teddy tried moving the one next to him, and it didn't budge. This gives Teddy an idea on who may have actually vandalized the candy store and ice cream shop.
  • "The trash can was even heavier than I'd realized. The sanitation guys were big and strong and they were having trouble moving it together... I shoved against it and found I could barely budge the thing" (Gibbs 149).
  • After seeing the sanitation workers struggle to move the heavy trash can, Teddy realized that one of the orangutangs, Pancake, must have vandalized and stole from the stores. He asks his mom, a primatologist, if he can review the security footage and finds out that it indeed was Pancake. He unscrewed the air-conditioning vent with his fingernail and escaped. Teddy, his dad, mom, and Kyle, one of the FunJungle employees, chase after him and Teddy finds him at a bakery.
  • "That's obvioustly how he's been getting out of the building. Clever guy. Look how careful he was. Instead of ripping it off, he actually unscrewed it so he could put it back on again" (Gibbs 293).
