  • Article 1 Legislative Branch
  • We represent the Senate and the House of Representatives!
  • Article 3 Judicial Branch
  • Im here for the rest of my life!
  • Article 2 Executive Branch
  • As the president I have the power in this branch!
  • The Legislative branch checks on the Executive Branch it can override presidential vetoes, approve or reject presidential appointments and treaties and impeach and try any president.
  • Article 4 Full Faith and Credit
  • The Judicial branch checks on the Legislative branch it can also declare laws unconstitutional. It also checks on Executive branch it can declare treaties and executive acts unconstitutional. Appointments are for life and judges are free from executive control.
  • Article 5 Amending the Constitution
  • The Execuative branch check on Legislative and Judicial branch it can nominate Supreme Court justices and federal judges, it can also approve or veto bills, call special sessions of Congress and recommend legislation.
  • Federalism
  • We are balanced!
  • All states must give "full Faith and Credit" to the laws and decisions of other states. All states for the most part must accept the legal document and action of other states.

  • The Constitution "...belongs to the living and not to the dead." - Thomas Jefferson. There are two ways to propose an amendment Congress can propose an amendment with 2/3 vote in each house or 2/3 legislature can ask Congress to call a national convention to draft an amendment.
  • The Constitution establishes a federal system that balances national and state powers, but it grants controlling authority to the national government in its supremacy clause.
