Storyboard Text

  • It's 1765 in Massachusetts, and a colonist woman is preparing a hard-earned supper for her family.
  • Children, it's time for supper!
  • The Parliament passed a new act called the Quartering Act. This Act gives Great Britain the right to quarter their troops in our public houses in the colonies. Not supplying them with food and shelter will result in criminal charges!
  • Aww, I'm still playing with my boat!
  • Yay, supper! Mother, when will Father be home?
  • He should be here any minute, dear.
  • Hello darling, there's something I need to tell you...
  • KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
  • This is madness!! Britain sure did it this time!!
  • Unexpected visitors show up to the small home: two British Army soldiers.
  • Good evening. My fellow soldier and I will be staying here tonight. Oh my, we came just in time for supper!
  • Why is there a redcoat in our house??
  • Pardon me??
  • Hey, a toy boat! I think I'll take a look at this...
  • Hey!! That's MY boat!!
  • Hey! He's eating our food!
  • Oh, goody! Fresh French bread!
  • CRACK!
  • Oops! Oh well, it was a cruddy-looking boat anyway...
  • MY BOAT!!!
  • I was going to eat some of that bread! *sniff sniff*
  • Oh my!!
  • THE END
  • *spits out food* This French bread tastes wretched!! This bread might actually be as terrible as the French!! I need to rest, where is my bed??
