Storyboard Text

  • "they met me in the day of success, and I had learned by the perfect'st report they have more in them than mortal knowledge...While I stood rapt in the wonder of it came missives from the king, who all-hailed me "Thane Of Cawdor" by which the sisters saluted me..and referred me to "Hail King that shalt be"
  • Lady reads her letter from Macbeth saying that he met three witches with powers and they predicted that he would become Thane of Cawdor and soon become the King. At this moment she is power driven and ecstatic at the idea of Macbeth becoming King.
  • Lady realizes that Macbeth will be Thane of Glamis and Cawdor but she doesn't think he has what it takes to get the crown. She believes Macbeth is too kind to be mean. She is feeling doubt in her husband , that he won't take what he deserves. She know she has to take action for him.
  • Glamis thou art, and Cawdor and shalt be.. Yet do I fear thy nature; It is too full o'th' milk of human kindness..Thou wouldst be great,Art not without ambition, but without The illness should attend it. What thou wouldst highly,
  • That woudlst thou holily; wouldst not play false and yet wouldst wrongly win, Thou'd'st have, great Glamis, That which cries Thus thou must do,"If thou have it, And that which rather thou dost fear to do, Than wishest should be undone
  • Lady explains how Macbeth wants to be a good man but he wants what isn't his, the crown, but he is afraid of what he has to do to get it. Lady is doing this all for Macbeth not so much for her. This is because she is power crazed, she lives on power, she adores it.
  • Lady wants to persuade Macbeth into going after the crown, including that fate and metaphysical aid,the witches, want him to. She knows she has to talk him into to it to get it done. Lady believes she can talk sense into him and explain why it would be acceptable to steal the crown. Lady knows her husband should have the throne.
  • Hie thee hither, That may pour my spirits in thine ear and chastise with the valor of my tongue...Which fate and metaphysical aid doth seem To have thee crowned withal.
  • A messenger tells Lady Macbeth that Macbeth is coming back tonight which startles Lady because she was just talking to herself. The messenger comes in while she was giving a monologue making her look crazy so she portrays anger because she was disturbed.
  • The King comes here tonight.
  • What is you tidings?
  • Lady Macbeth is overjoyed to hear that Macbeth is coming tonight because she knows he is bringing back the news of becoming King and she can't wait to toughen him up to take the crown.
