Odysseus and his crew beached the island of the Cyclopes
I must stay and see the creature that inhabits this place.
The crew made off with the Cyclopes cheeses and sheep, but Odysseus wanted to stay and see what inhabited the cave.
When the Cyclopes saw Odysseus and his men he questioned these intruders. Polyphemus, the Cyclopes, did not like Odysseus's response and then continued to eat two of his men.
TO avenge his fallen men, Odysseus came up with a brillant plan to fool the Cyclopes. He let him drink a bit of his strong wine which made him fall asleep. WHile sleeping Odysseus and his men barbarically attacked the Cyclopes eye.
After the Cyclopes awoke he shrieked with pain. As he screamed and yelled Odysseus came up with an escape plan. He and his crew would hide under Polyphemus's sheep as they approached the beach.
Why aren't you leading the flock as usual?
If someone asks who did this, the name is Odysseus!
Odysseus and his crew escapes but Odysseus's arrogance got in the way. As he shouted back to the Cyclopes, the Cyclopes cursed Odysseus and his men.
My father Poseidon will bring me vengeance.
