You! PLEBEIAN! Go clean up my house!
No! You can't tell me what to do!
I order you to go tell the SENATE to come here!
Will you marry me?
In this scene, a PATRICIAN is ordering a PLEBEIAN to go clean up their house because the PLEBEIANS had to do what the PATRICIANS said to do.
While PLEBEIANS were citizens, they were in a very low social status in the society of Rome. They started to go up the social ladder by not doing their work.
PLEBEIANS started to gain rights like to marry PATRICIANS and to VETO.
Over time, they got more rights like to be in the SENATE to hold a few offices and one of them could be a CONSUL.
The PLEBEIANS made the PATRICIANS put up the laws so they don't change them all the time. They did a TRIBUNE.
All of the citizens, were all together now and started to make and EXPANSION.
