After fighting in the Trojan War and returning to his home in Ithaca, Odysseus and his men decide to stop at an island for food and water.
Odysseus and his group stop by a cave, and stay there until the owner of the cave returns, who is a cyclops.
The cyclops, who feels threatened, eats 4 of Odysseus' people. He ate 2 for breakfast and 2 for dinner.
Odysseus creates a plan. He offers the cyclops alcohol, and the cyclops passes out because the drink was too strong.
Odysseus takes advantage of the opportunity, and stabs the cyclops in the eye, blinding him, with a makeshift spear.
Odysseus and his group manage to escape the cave by hiding under the cyclops' sheep when he lets them out. They then run back to their ship and head home to Ithaca.
