  • You dare challenge me!
  • Soon we will be the best heroes Uruk has ever seen
  • You shall roam these woods no more!
  • Gilgamesh was a cruel King who ruled the city of Uruk. After years of cruelty, the people of Uruk prayed to the gods asking them to stop Gilgamesh. The gods sent them a wild man named Enkidu. Enkidu was just as skilled as Gilgamesh and challenged him to a battle.
  • Please don't let this be happening!!
  • As they were battling, they found out they were evenly matched and became friends. Enkidu told Gilgamesh that they should use their powers for good and become heroes. Gilgamesh gave in and they went on breath taking adventures.
  • On one of their last adventures, Gilgamesh and Enkidu went to the Cedar Woods the vicious Ogre. Humbaba. They killed the beastly monster with ease, but the gods were not happy with their decision.
  • The gods punished Gilgamesh and Enkidu by taking Enkidu's life. This upsets Gilgamesh because he lost his best friend and he realizes that one day he too will die. So then Gilgamesh sets out to find Uptanishtim, the man to achieve eternal life.
  • Gilgamesh went begging to uptanishtim for eternal llife. Uptanishtim told him that only the gods can grant immorality, not mortals. Gilgamesh was crushed but would not take no for an answer. Uptanishtim told Gilgamesh about a plant at the bottom of the ocean that could grant him eternal life.
  • After Gilgamesh got the plant from the bottom of the ocean, he fell into a deep sleep. While he was sleeping a snake crawled up and at the plant! As he was waking up he saw the snake shed its skin and get reborn he learned something. After learning his lesson and went back to Uruk as a better king. He never hurt another innocent person and he was finally okay with his death because he knew it happened to every living thing.
