Cronus

Storyboard Text

  • Those monsters are not my children I will throw them into   tartatrus!
  • No, Father we are your children!
  • I shall avenge them- they are my children!
  • No, father your reign has come to an end.
  • Payback for throwing my children into tartarus. Just because they are not beautiful, you don't have the right to throw them to eternal torture.
  • Stop, Cronus if you do this, the same fate shall meet you - you will be overthrown by your own children!
  • Mother, Father, What am I to do, Cronus is eating our children!
  • He did not free my children- the cyclops
  • Instead of the sixth child born, give Cronus a rock, he shouldn't notice the difference.
  • Gaea and Uranus are married, they had kids, the titans, the cyclops... However Uranus was embarrassed by them and thought that they were hideous, so he threw them into tartatrus. However Gaea was angered by that act and she wanted revenge.
  • Zeus is safe with my preists on Crete. They will find a way to keep him safe.
  • Thank you, my love. However you must understand, if I don't eat them, one day they will overthrow me - prophecies don't lie.
  • Gaea Convinced her children- the titans  to overthrow their father- Uranus, Uranus gave Cronus a prophecy that he one day shall too be overthrown by his children.
  • Oh, very well, I'll try it.
  • (belching sounds), you have betrayed me, servant.
  • Here Lord Cronus, try this wine, it is the best thing you have ever tried- I promise you will like it.
  • No, I am not your servant, I am your son.
  • Cronus married his sister Rhea, and when they had children Cronus ate them. Neither did Cronus free his brothers- the cyclops. This enraged Rhea, and Gaea. Rhea asked her parents for help and they told her to give Cronus a stone instead of the sixth baby.
  • No, Son don't kill me.
  • Should have thought about that when you swalloed us.
  • Rhea does what her parents told her to do, and gives Cronus a stone instead of the baby she named Zeus. Cronus took the stone without noticing the deception.
  • Honey, here is the sixth baby. I decided t name him Zeus.
  • Zeus had grown up and with the help of the goddess Metis convinced Cronus to drink a magical potion which caused him to disgorge Zeus's brothers- the gods.
  • After a very long war, Zeus and the gods overthrew their father Cronus, and Zeus slayed Cronus, becoming the supreme god.
  • Father, you have been overthrown, just like the prophecy said, you can't escape fate.
