my faithful comrades, wait for me: Ill take my ship and crew to see who these may be are they unfeeling people, wild, unjust, or do they welcome strangers, does their thought include fear of the gods.
As they sail the sea, they come upon an Island
wile exploring the island, they come upon a shepherd´s cave.
They lit a fire, then burned a sacrifice, and taking cheese we fed ourselves. So they waited for him to return.
As the cyclopes returned, they scattered. After his tasks, he say them and said...
Who are you, strangers? Are you just traders?
After they stabbed the stick into the cyclops´ eyes, he yelled to his friends and when they gathered near, this is what he said.....
My friends, no force can damage me; No-one, No-one is using treachery.
After all the men got back into the boat Odysseus said....
cyclops, the men you snatched with brutal force and ate within you cave were surely not the comrades of a coward. You have caused much grief; and it returns to haunt you now: you did not hesitate; hard heart, you ate your guests within you house; therefore lord Zeus had joined with other gods to batter you.
