  • There is a ball tonight for Paul, and he is so handsome, like a prince! But he is also very kind.
  • On a green island in the Caribbean Sea, there lived a poor washerwoman and her mother was dying, and left her with only a wand of mahogany.
  • Middle
  • One of the ladies that she worked for was very nice and made her godmother of her baby. Alas, the mother soon died and her father married another. Madame Prospérine was a cold woman. A couple of years passed and she had a party for her rich friends for her baby.
  • Middle
  • You are just as beautiful now as you were then.
  • When Cendrillon grew older, she did lots of work and came to the river every day to do laundry, but she didn't mind and was always very happy, until one day she was crying and nothing could cheer her up.
  • End
  • They get to the ball, and immediatly, the prince falls in love with her, but too soon the clock strikes the first stroke of midnight and Cendrillon's godmother quickly pulls her away. By the last stroke of midnight, all the magic disappears. Everything turns back except her slippers. She lost one while running away.
  • The next day, Paul came to everyone's house with Cendrillon's lost slipper for the young women to try on. Cendrillon's stepsister tried on the slipper, but her foot was too big. As soon as Cendrillon tried it on, it fit perfectly and Paul knelt down and asked if he could marry her. She gladly accepted.
  • The next day they got married and had a wonderful wedding. Everyone ate, danced, and sang for three days! The End.
