Let's go explore!
Hello! I am from the Oto tribe. Thank you for your gifts.
Hello, we need help finding our way.
Hello, I am Sacagawea and I can help you.
On May, 1804, Lewis and Clark began their expedition to the west.
I am so happy to see my people again!
As they traveled, Lewis and Clark had to document all that they observed and the encounters with the Native Americans.
As they were exploring, they met a Shoshone woman named Sacagawea. She traveled with them to help them translate.
They encountered the Shoshone tribe and Sacagawea talked to them. They negotiated for horses that they would need for the expedition.
Sacagawea helped Lewis and Clark find the Rocky Mountains and they crossed them.
In mid-November, they made it to the Pacific Ocean.
