John Glover Taking Boats to Cross the River
George Washington is explaining the plan to cross the Delaware river. He tells John Glover, Alexander Hamilton, and Hue Mercer. He wants to attack the Hessians on Christmas.
George Washington sends John Glover and his men to take control of the only boats on that side of the river. The person they take it from isn't happy. He says it will ruin his business if they take the boats.
George Washington and his 2,000 men cross the river. They do this in the middle of the night in the freezing cold so they can fight the hessians in the morning.
The Final Cross
George Washington and his men are marching down in the morning. They plan to attack at 8 am when the Hessians are still asleep.
One of George Washington's men shoots. He ends up hitting the Hessians commander. He ends up dying. The makes the Hessians surrender. Washington's men end up winning the battle.
George Washington makes his men cross the river again. All of the men are tired but he doesn't care. There are a bunch of British soldiers heading there way. They need to leave.
