One of the leaders of the boycott was a young pastor named Martin Luther King Jr. Later the Montgomery’s buses were integrated in 1956, and the boycott ended. It had lasted 381 days.
In 1963 in Birmingham Alabama, Martin Luther King Jr made his speech that changed many people's lives. About 250,000 protesters attended.
Martin Luther King, Jr is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his nonviolent resistance to racial prejudice in America.
