I'm going to be a missionary for the London Society.
His first expedition was in Africa from 1858 to 1864. They called this the Zambezi expedition. Many people got sick and many people didn't make it.
In 1866, David returned to Africa. This time it was a new part of Africa called Zanzibar. He went back to look for the Nile.
His last expedition turned into Geographic Discoveries. Livingstone was rewarded the gold medal of the Royal Geographic Society of London and was made a Fellow of the society, with which he had a strong association for the rest of his life.
