Everyone shall be destroyed!!!! The Babylonians are in control now...
Many became angry with King Solomon's labor requirements and eventually the northern part of the kingdom rebelled. The north became known as Israel and the South became known as Judah.
Initially, the two kingdoms were to pay tribute to the the Assyrian Empire. However, Israel revolted and refused to pay tribute, leaving the Assyrians enraged and ready to attack. In 722 B.C., the Northern Kingdom officially became taken over by Assyria.
Soon after the Assyrians conquered Israel, they lost power to the babylonians. The Babylonian King attacked Jerusalem and eventually ran the people out of both Judah and Assyria. In the end, the city was destoryed along with Solomon's temple.
