Storyboard Description

Theseus journeys to Athens. His journey is extremely dangerous and treacherous. He defeats wild beasts and menacing robbers along his way. He escapes death because he is recognized by his father Aegeus, who prevents him from drinking the wine laced with poison. He defeats Pallas and his army of his 50 sons. Finally, he defeats the Great Bull which he offers to Minerva, the goddess of the city. The people praise him for his triumphants acts.

Storyboard Text

  • Theseus Defeats Sciron
  • Scrion, you got what you deserved! Just like you treated your victims, I washed your feet then gripped your foot firmly, swung you around by your shoulder and threw you over the cliff
  • Theseus Defeats Procrustes
  • Procrustes you have been cruel to your innocent victims.  You would suffer the same fate.  I will chop off your head
  • Theseus Defeats the Sow
  • The hunting spears in your back already, now with the blow of the club I took from Periphetes I will kill you, you savage, monstrous sow.
  • I have got to make Aegeus believe that Theseus is a criminal who will murder him.  Theseus has too much fame and I want my own son to have the throne of Athens and not Theseus
  • Monster turtle jumps up to eat Sciron
  • MEDEA GIVES POISONED TEA TO AEGEUS
  • Aegeus knows that I lied.  Let me flee quickly on my winged chariot
  • Procrustes was beheaded by Theseus.  His head lay at the foot of the bed
  • AEGEUS RECOGNIZES HIS SON
  • With the swing of the club Theseus killed the Sow
  • THESEUS AND HIS SMALL ARMY DEFEATS PALLAS AND HIS FIFTY SONS
  • Come on men!!! We may be small but we have the power.  We can defeat these men.  Charge
  • Medea hands Aegeus poisoned tea
  • Aegeus give the stranger this cup of wine.  I have laced it with poison which will kill him
  • Yes I will give it at once to this stranger
  • Aegeus recognizes sword and therefore realizes Theseus is his son.  Medea flees quickly
  • Son, my son...it is you!! That's the sword I had left under the rock in Troizen.  No!!!  Do not drink that wine, it is poisoned
  • FIERCE BATTLE IN THE END, THESEUS IS VICTORIOUS
