When Corey got home he swung his bag on the bench, got a feed and a drink, and hopped on the computer.
''Potts walked in and pulled at Corey's elbow.'' 'That's my place!' he hissed in Corey's ear.
At the beginning of the story, Corey is lazy, always eating and is very overweight.
Corey is always on his computer playing Counter Strike. He was on it so much that his mother had to force him to play a sport, if he wanted her to pay for the broadband.
Corey gets ignored and bullied at school and has trouble making friends.
Corey hunched over on all fours gasping for air.
'For god's sake,' Potts yelled, 'spike the finish!'
Later in the story, he starts doing orienteering to get fit but does not like it. He was going to quit, but the team needed a runner for the relays.
Corey took a shortcut through a gully he saw on the map which meant he caught up time on Westridge school.
At the end of a brutal race, the times are tight between Corey's school Sandy Bay High and their rivals Westridge High. These antics have also won him the Hell Man Award.
