We are going to make a journey to the centre of the Earth and we going to go through all of the four layers.
There are four layers of the Earth, the crust, then the mantle, then the liquid outer core and finally the solid inner core.
First we enter the crust which is a layer of rock that is below the ground beneath us.
Next we go into the mantle, which is a magma based substance that is scorching and it is between the crust and the liquid core.
Things are now getting really hot with the temperature at 4000-5000ºC. The liquid outer core is mainly made of iron, some nickel and about 10% sulphur and oxygen.
The the solid inner core. The solid inner core has a temperature of around 5400 °C, It is said to be approximately the same temperature as the Sun. It is made of iron and nickel.
