Marco turns Eddie's knife around and makes him stab himself
Eddie calls Immigration on Marco and Eddie
I'd like to report two illegal immigrants.
Eddie goes in to kiss Rodolpho
This scene symbolizes that Eddie did this to himself. Since he was still holding the knife when he was stabbed, it shows that Eddie practically led the knife into himself, breaking his codes he followed by his whole life. Even till the very end, Eddie held his lie and demanded Marco to confess that "[he] lied and [him]" and to "...say it" in front of everyone (Eddie, pg 78).
Eddie breaks his rule of honor, and to never snitch. He shows that he should no longer be respected because he broke his own rules to try and have Catherine for himself. When he called he told immigration "[he] want[s] to report something. Illegal immigrants. Two of them", He shows how low and desperate he was to win her over. (Eddie, pg 61
Eddie wants to prove his idea of Rodolpho's sexuality which he got from all of Rodolpho's interests and his appearance. He tells Rodolpho to "come on [and] show [him]!... Show me!" He goes to kiss him and sees he doesn't try to break free. (Eddie, pg 58)
