Hey ladies, looking good today.
Echo was married to Zeus, the god of all gods. He was cheating on her with the mountain Nymphs. He often went to visit them on Earth.
He is gorgeous. Could this be love at first sight?
Echo told the goddess Hera about her plan to catch Zeus cheating. Hera is the goddess of marriage and birth. She is Zeus's sister.
Hera was furious about Echo's plan. She took up for Zeus and takes away Echo's voice so that she is only able to repeat what she hears. Later on, Hera ends up marrying her brother, Zeus.
One day, Echo saw a man named Narcissus, the son of the river god. She fell in love with him immediately, and followed him into the woods where he was deer hunting. Once Narcissus was settled and was ready to hunt, he saw someone moving in the bushes
"Who is here?" asked Narcissus. "Here," said echo. "Lets come together," he said. Echo ran to him and placed her hands around his neck. "Together!" she says. Narcissus shoves her away saying, "Hands off! I would rather die than let you enjoy my body!" Echo runs away humiliated but continues to follow Narcissus into the woods. Later on she watches Narcissus fall in love wits own reflection in the lake. He stays there for hours staring at himself, and drowns in the water.
Echo is heart broken and dies shortly after leaving only her voice behind.
