Storyboard Text

  • Penelope is asking Odysseus (who is disguised) questions about where he came from.
  • "Who are you, and where do you come from?"
  • "Please don't make me recall the pain of my family and hometown. "
  • Penelope explains that she is looking for her long lost husband, Odysseus, and that she has been putting off marriage for twenty years.
  • "If my husband were to come home, all of the suitors would leave, and we could live happily together."
  • "I told the men that I would get married once I finished my weaving. Every night I weave on the big loom, and then undo my weaving, but I cannot hide from marriage anymore."
  • Penelope again asks (disguised) Odysseus where he came from, in hopes that he knows something about where Odysseus is. He makes up a story that involves Odysseus.
  • "Odysseus is alive and well. I promise, he will come home."
  • I know how I'm going to choose my husband.
  • Penelope does not believe his story, and decides she needs to choose a husband.
