  • Lennie Always Forgets
  • Lennie-"Where we goin', George?" George- “The little man jerked down the brim of his hat and scowled over at Lennie. "So you forgot that awready, did you? I gotta tell you again, do I? Jesus Christ, you're a crazy bastard!" "I forgot," Lennie said softly. Honest to god i did, George.”
  • George
  • George is so mean
  • Lennie-“I wasn't kicked in the head with no horse, was I, George?" "Be a damn good thing if you was," George said viciously. "Save ever'body a hell of a lot of trouble."
  • Lennie is Becoming Cautious 
  • Lennie smiled with this bruised mouth. "I didn't want no trouble," he said. He walked toward the door, but just before he came to it, he turned back. "George?" "What you want?" "I can still tend the rabbits, George?" "Sure. You ain't done nothing wrong." "I di'n't mean no harm, George."
  • This fits into the theme man can be cruel because, George is so mean and cruel to Lennie and Lennie doesn't exactly understand what he's doing wrong.
  • Horrible Name Calling Goes On
  • Lennie
  • George commonly gives Lennie a hard time about what he asks, but at the same time Lennie doesn't realize the stuff he us asking because he forgets.
  • Lennie Does Not Understand 
  • Lennie is starting to remember when George gets mad about him asking to see the rabbits.
  • They Keep Judging Lennie 
  • Crooks, he's calling people "nigger" which is a racial term towards African Americans 
  • Crooks
  • Crooks "This is just a nigger talkin', an' a busted-back nigger. So it don't mean nothing, see?
  • Lennie doesnt understand why the animals are dying and no one will tell him because hes going to forget.
  • He was so little," said Lennie. "I was jus playin’ with him… an’ he made like he’s gonna bite me… an’ I made like I was gonna smack him … an’… an’ I done it. An’ then he was dead.
  • Lennie keeps getting judges by people because of the way he is and the things he does.  but it isn't his fault it's his mental disability.
  • “She stood in front of Lennie and put her hands on her hips, and she frowned disapprovingly at him.  And when she spoke, it was in Lennie’s voice. "I tol’ you an tol’ you," she said. "I tol you, ‘Min’ George because he’s such a nice fella an’ good to you.’ But you don’t never take no care. You do bad things”
