The dragon's breath is too hot but I will not back down!
I am dying, Wiglaf. Take care of my people and rule the kingdom justly. I have done my good.
Beowulf gathers eleven men to help fight the dragon. He gives a speech about his great achievements before he enters the dragon's lair. He says farewell to his men and leaves them there so he can fight the dragon alone.
Beowulf tries to fight the dragon alone but the monster is too powerful for just him. Wiglaf, a fellow soldier, joins Beowulf as the rest of the army retreats. Beowulf's sword breaks and the Dragon bits his neck! Wiglaf's sword punctures the dragon.
Beowulf and Wiglaf stab the dragon again and kill the vicious beast. The poison is killing Beowulf but right before he dies he hands the kingdom to Wiglaf and gazes upon the gold he fought for his people.
