Storyboard Text

  • Adam appoints William Marbury's case which is him suing the secretary of state, James Madison
  • I approve the case of marbury and Madison
  • Jefferson becomes president and he carries out this case into the courts
  • As your President I say That marbury and Madison case should go to court
  • The new court justice, John Marshall understands that the court needs to either award Marbury with the Writ of Mandamus or deny it
  • I need to figure out who get their way!
  • After Questioning how and why Marbury wants the writ, and taking into consideration if it's fair for Madison, the cheif justice decides to rule in favor of madison
  • I choose to rule in favor of Madison. Marbury has lost the case.
  • An importance of this is it gives several powers to the supreme court. Like the can declare it the acts of congress are constitutional
  • I declare this act unconstitutional!!!
  • The most important thing that came out of this is that the court is now equally important to the government and has been that way ever since then
  • WE ARE IMPORTANT!
