Mina Schaerf Litwak was born on January 6, 1883, in Vinnitsa, Romania. She was the daughter of Chaim and Scheindel Schaerf, they lives in the multi-ethnic town of Vinnista.
Mina Schaerf Litwak had 5 children and a husband, Josef Litwak, lived in the industrial city Lvov. In their household they spoke 4 different languages.
On June 30, 1941, German forces occupied Lvov, most of Lvov's Jews were sent concentrated in a Jewish ghetto. In August 1942, during the biggest deportation roundup in the ghetto, the Germans came for Mina. Mina and her husband were killed in an extermination camp in August 1942, when she was 59 years old.
