  • The Beginning Of The Adventure

  • Tally is called upon to rescue the Pretties, the Uglies and the other Specials. She has to find and steal pills from her ex-boyfriend, David, which are making all of the groups into clueless airheads. Otherwise known as an antidote to make everyone a Pretty but there is no way to change it back.
  • The Ultimate Boon
  • Tally finds out that her boyfriend, Zane, is part of the project to spread the pills to others. Not only is he doing this, but he is taking them. She wants to set him free, but he has a tracker made of a titanium material. So Tally and her mentor Shay have to go to The Armory to steal a tool that will cut off the tracker on Zane.
  • Rescue From Without
  • Tally is consistent on going on with the adventure because she realizes that she loves her boyfriend, Zane, more than she thought and wants to turn him into a special so that they can be together forever.
  • The Crossing Or Returning Of The Threshold
  • Tally and Shay have retrieved the pills. The found out that they weren't working anyway so they weren't as concerned.
  • Tally runs into an old friend named Ping. He has had an operation that took away his Special abilities. Ping tried to inject it into her, but she ended up falling off a cliff. She woke up in an insane asylum and Shay comes to rescue her. Tally said no and that she would stay. But they both ended up getting to leave.
  • Tally and Shay returned to their camp and they came back heroes. Tally and Shay met Dr. Cables and were rewarded. But Dr. Cables found out that they freed some of the Pretties and Uglies and were going to get punished. But they had a plan to escape and they left.
