Storyboard Text

  • Hi I am Scientist Mike. We are currently standing on the largest mountain Mount Everest! I am going to take you on a tour! Before we begin lets change into proper gear
  • Now we can begin the climb. We need to be very safe lots of people have tried to make this climb but have failed. This is because there is a 25% risk rate.
  • We are currently in a cave. In here we can find different types of rock in here. Mount Everst is made of sedimentary  layers, along with marble, shale, and pelite that are divided into rock formations.
  • Because Mount Everest has very cold tempter and gets very dark at night we should set up a tent to stay warm. This is what the very first people who successfully climbed Mount Everest did. Sir Edmund Hillary was the first to climb Mount Everest in 1953.
  • Good Moring its May 11 and what a beautiful new day we are almost to the top. This is very ironic because on May 11, 2011 Api Sherpa reached the top now we are going to reach it to.
  • Finally we are at the top! Mount Everest has a great view. That's why the Sanskrit name Sagarmatha means Peak of heaven. This is because different cultures use diffrent names for Mount Everest.
