Mme. Loisel gets herself a dress with M. Loisels francs. She now needs a necklace, which she doesn't have. She goes to her friend, Mme. Forestiers house to ask for a necklace.
Mme. Loisel arrives at Mme. Forestiers house and searches for the perfect necklace. She finds one, thanks her friend, and then leaves.
Mme. and M. Loisel go to the reception. Mme. Loisel has an amazing time and looked stunning! But then go home after a night of fun!
The Loisel do everything they can to get the francs to buy a new necklace that matched the one of Mme. Forestier. They finally got all of the francs and bought the new necklase
They notice that Mme. Loisel necklace is missing. They do everything they can a retrace their steps. Finally, after looking for a long while, they notify Mme. Forestier that her necklace might show up a little late.
After the chaos with the necklace, Mme. Loisel declared that her needy days were over. She started doign all of the house work, she even dismissed her maid. She did the work by her self. All of that work caused her to become a women and less appealing to the eye
You could have brought it back sooner
One day, about ten or so years later, Mme. Loisel was going for a walk around the Paris streets when she sees Mme. Forestier. She walks up to her old friend and explains to her about what had happened to the necklace. She had told her friend about how she was still trying to pay off everything that the necklace had cost. Mme. Forestier reply to her story left Mme. Loisel stunned.
The necklace wasn't made of real diamonds! It was only 500 francs!
