Storyboard Text

  • One of the saddest events in U.S. history By Jewell Parker Rhodes
  • Towers Falling
  • Tonight I would like you to write an essay about your home and where you live
  • This is Deja she is sadly very poor and lives in a shelter. She is now going to a new school where she meets her two best friends Ben and Sabeen.
  • At school her main teachers are Miss Garcia and Mr. Schmidt. Miss Garcia knows about Deja's families situation and always kindly helps her when needed.
  • As they got further into the lesson at school. Deja did not realize what it was leading up to. But Ben and Sabeen knew exactly whats going on. Soon enough Deja didn't know what happened with the towers during 9/11. Therefore makes Sabeen upset her beliefs are the same as the 9/11 terrorists. After Sabeen left Ben explained how the teachers are formatting the lesson on The Nine Eleven Attacks.
  • Back at school in Mr.Schmidts class today is the day they learn what happened in the towers. They learned that the Muslims had flown and hit other locations other than the towers. They had also hit the Pentagon and another crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Then Deja put two and two together that her father had escaped the towers and that was why he is ill. This made Deja very upset and she started crying but so no one could see or hear.
  • Ben and Deja had skipped school to go to the 9/11 memorial. Sabeen did not want to get in trouble. Meanwhile as Ben and Deja go they lay down roses and are about to go in but realize a police officer is watching them so they run for it, but what they did't know is that they were for it when they return home.
  • Through the end now Deja and her friends know there past but continue to learn about their future.
