Storyboard Text

  • Prove it!
  • My dad is Phoebus!
  • Can I ride the chariot?
  • Yes, but be very careful with my instructions.
  • You can ask me for anything
  • Epaphus dared Phaethon to prove he was the son of the Sun god.
  • This isn't Phoebus, it's a powerless mortal.
  • His father, the son god Phoebus, gave him anything he wanted.  Phaethon asked to ride the chariot, and because  Phoebus swore by the black river Styx, he had to let him ride the golden chariot.
  • Aurora prepared the horses for Phoebus, and  Phaethon gave him one last warning.
  • Pyrois, Eous, Aethon and Phlegon, the horses, realize that some mortal is pushing them, not Phoebus.
  • The horse fly off into outer space instead of stay in the path.  The constellations get angry, and the earth gets unbearably hot.
  • Zeus strikes Phaethon with a lightning bolt to stop the unbearably heat, instantly killing him.
