  • Act 1- Madelynn Moyes
  • Calpurnia: okay
  • Mark Antony does what Caesar tells him to do because Caesar believes that if his wife is touched by a holy runner then she will be able to have a child
  • Caesar: "Forget not in your speed, Antonius' To touch Calpurnia;for our elders say the barren, touched in this holy chase, shake off their sterile curse."
  • Act 1- Madelynn Moyes
  • Crowd: YAY! Caesar refused the crown!
  • Casca: "Caesar refused the crown, that it had, almst, choked Caesar; for he swounded and fell down at it. And for mine own part, i durst not laugh, for fear of opening my lips and receiving the bad air.
  • Casca: Mark Antony offered the crown to Caesar three times but he denied it each time
  • Act 1- Madelynn Moyes
  • Caesar: when i woke up from my seizure i told the crowd to cut my throat if they didn't want to give me the crown
  • Caesar calls his wife Calpurnia and orders her to stand where Mark Antony, about to run in the traditional footrace of the Lupercal, can touch her as he passes. Antony always does whatever Caesar tells him to do. Caesar believes that if a childless woman is touched by a holy runner she will be able to have a child.

  • Caesar: "has a lean and hungry look; such men are dangerous."
  • Casca tells the people that Mark Antony offered the crown to Caesar three times but he refused it each time. The people cheered the Caesar refused the crown. Caesar didn't expect them to cheer. The 3rd time Caesar refused the crown, he fell down in an epileptic seizure. An epileptic seizure was a sign of importance in Roman times.

  • Casca: Cicero spoke and said "Greek to him"
  • Cassius: Did you find out if Cicero had said anything?
  • When Caesar woke up from his seizure he told the crowd to cut his throat if they didnt want to give him the crown. He made a fool of himself and blamed it on the epilepsy.

  • Cinna: okay i agree to join the conspiracy.
  • Cassius: Lets throw a message through Brutus's window so that he can join the conspiracy too!
  • Brutus thinks that Caesar is angry. Caesar tells Mark Antony that he feels suspicious of what is going on. Caesar says that he would rather have people with money to buy food, are satisfied, and aren't ambitious around him. Caesar thinks that he is perfect and hes full of himself. But in reality he is very imperfect and conceited.
  • Mark Antony: Yes i agree!
  • Cassius asks Casca if Cicero said anything and he said that he had spoke but she didn't understand what he was saying. Casca also said that Marullus and Flavius were killed for removing the ornaments from the statues. Cassius invites Casca to dinner timorrow and she agrees to go.
  • When Cinna joins the conspiracy Cassius urges them to try to get Brutus to join them. Cassius wants to throw a message through his window. Cassius just has power on his mind and he wants to be in charge of the conspirators. Cassius also knows that he needs Brutus inorder to get the people to listen to them. The men are confident that they will get Brutus to join.
