  • What was the urgency in your letter?
  • If I don't pay my taxes by Friday I will get evicted.
  • Rising Action
  • The setting is in Virginia at Peacock Hall which is at cousin Althea's house. The characters are the Grandfather,Benny (6 yrs.), Jessie (12 yrs), Violet (10 yrs) and Althea.
  • Climax
  • Althea has no money to have repair done to Peacock Hall or to pay the taxes. Her nephew wants to buy it from her for little money and a realtor is trying to get Althea to sell it to her client for a golf course.
  • Falling Action
  • On the way to Peacock Hall they met Heather and her son David, they keep on running into them and they act strangely. On their first night someone peeked through the window and they found a piece of jeans the next day, they are trying to solve the mystery who it belongs too and the mystery of Peacock Hall.
  • Resotution
  • Yeah i get to keep the house
  • The kids found the secret room and a old vase was in it. Aunt Athea's nephew is trying to steal it from them, but drops it when the realtor shows up.
  • Oh no.
  • They found out that the Realtor and the nephew were working together to buy the house only to find the treasure. They figured out that the treasure was the fireplace because it was designed by Thomas Jefferson and of historical value.
  • The grandfather got a tax extension for Althea and Heather and her son are moving in with Althea to help her take care off Peacock Hall.
  • Yeah we have a place to live
