U.S. Oil/steel embargo on Japan
Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and the Suprise Attack
Japan wanted to expand and wanted more power. This lead to Pearl Harbor and lead to rivalries in world war 2.
Day of the Attack
After Japan started expanding they put a freeze on the oil embargo they had going between the 2 countries.
FDR/"Date which will live infamy"
Japan put a suprise attack on Hawaii from their military and the United States.
Japan attacked on a Sunday because they believed they would be more relaxed on that day.
The day that FDR declared war against Japan and which launched bombs and started Pearl Harbor.
When they were going to fight they had 8 ships that were planning on helping attack.
