  • The Stamp Act occurred on March 22, 1775. It was required to pay taxes on all printed paper. This included newspaper, playing cards, pamphlets, legal documents and advertisement. The colonists were livid (mad). The colonists were livid because they couldn't read or have anything on paper unless you paid the taxes on them.The Stamp Act led to the war because the colonists didn't get to have any paper unless they paid the taxes which they didn't have the money to.And because they had no say in anything about it because the king wouldn't listen to the colonists. The stamp act was repealed.
  • The Boston Tea Party 1773
  • The Boston Massacre happened March 5, 1770. Soldiers were scared by the noisy crowds, so they shot. Five colonists were killed. Townspeople began pushing and shoving. They threw rocks and ice at the soldiers. The Boston Massacre led to the war because 5 colonists were killed and nobody knows who fired the first shot. The Sons Of Liberty were saying they were going to tar and feather them and burn there houses down. There were only a few men not a massacre.

  • The Tea Act passed parliament May 10, 1773. The Tea Act was a bill designed to save the faltering East India company from bank ruptcey greatly lowering the tea tax it paid to the British government. The Tea Act led to the war because many of the colonists were unhappy that they couldn't drink tea unless they paid taxes. The tea act was not repealed.
  • The Battle Of Lexington And Concord
  • One night on December 16,1773 some men dressed up as Indians and aboarded ships at the Boston Harbor. They broke open 342 chests of tea and dumped it into the Boston Harbor. They didn't destroy any other cargo on the ship or the ship.They Boston Tea Party led to the war because all the British were mad that they dumped all the good tea into the harbor and nobody nobody knows who the leader is.
  • The First Cont Continental Congress meeting took place in Philadelphia in September 5,1774 to October 26 1774. They called it the First Continental Congress cause it was the first meeting of its kind on the North american continent. 12 representatives of the colonies that come to the meeting. Members of the Continental Congress agreed to stop all trade with Britain. The First Continental Congress led to the war because the British were mad that the colonists were no longer going to have any trade with them.
  • The battle of Lexington and Concord happened on April 19, 1775. A colonial militia waited for the British. Nobody knows who fired the first shot. Soon after that both of the sides clashed. Many other battles followed after that. The battle of Lexington and Concord led to the war because nobody liked how anything was going and they got mad because nobody let them have a say in it.
