Storyboard Text

  • I didn't forget, hide in the brush till George comes.
  • "Hide in the brush an' wait for George... George gonna give me hell."
  • In the beginning of chapter 6, Lennie remembered what George had told him to do when he had got into any trouble. He knew George would come looking for him in the brush.
  • "You crazy bastard. You ain't fit to lick the boots of no rabbit. You'd forget em' and let em' go hungry. that's what you'd do."
  • Here Lennie was saying that he knew he had done wrong and George was going to need to punish him for his wrong doings.
  • "I done another bad thing George."
  • "Oh it don't make no difference now Lennie."
  • Lennie started to have visions of his Aunt Clara. She started to tell him how he had been such a bad impact towards George's life and how he could've done much better without him hanging around. Lennie became miserable.
  • "An' you got it away from him and you took it an' killed him?"
  • Yeah he had your gun and thats just how it happened.
  • Come on George let's go get a drink."
  • Then Lennie started to imagine a gigantic rabbit. He began having a conversation with the rabbit as if it was a human. The rabbit then began to discourage Lennie.
  • "I would not forget!"
  • Then Lennie heard George from afar and the rabbit went away. They both sat by the Salinas River talking about the future of the two together.
  • As they kept on talking, George knew exactly what had to be done, to put Lennie out of future harm. George then pulled a gun and shot lennie, killing him. Slim and Carlsonlater arrived and seen what had been down. Knowing it had to be done.
