Me and Kenedy Zakers
Exodus, pg. 854 to pg. 856 line 84
Creon was once happy as king, being a father with Haimon born as a noble. And now all of that is gone.
You speak the truth of sadness, what news do you bring?
But look: Eurydice, our queen: Has she overheard us?
But speak again I: whatever it is, I can bear it: Grief and I are no strangers.
Messenger: "Creon was once happy..., victorious in battle, sole governor of the land, fortunate father of children nobly born. And now it has all gone from him!" Choragos: "Who is guilty? Who is dead? Speak!"
Eurydice overheard some bad news when she went to see the Goddess of Wisdom for help. After hearing the news she then fainted.
Messenger: "Truth is: I went with Creon to the outer plain where Polyneices was lying, no friend to pity him, his body shredded by dogs... and we bathed the corpse with Holy Water."
Messenger: "When we are done, we ran To the vault where Antigone lay on her couch of stone."
Messenger: "Creon shrank back, the blade missed; and the boy, desperate against himself , drove it half its length Into his own side, and fell."
Messenger: "And now he lies dead with the dead, and she is at last, his bride in the houses of the dead."
