  • Resolution
  • Tom tells Wilson that the car was actually Gatsby's and that he was the one who hit his wife. This leads to Wilson going to Gatsby's house and shooting him.
  • Nick rushes to find people for Gatsby's funeral. Although this is hard because Gatsby never actually had any real close friends.
  • Nick holds Gatsby's Funeral with Gatsby's father. Although no one came except for the owled-eyed man Nick saw before at Gatsby's party. The book ends with a couple sentences that describe its theme. "Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eludes us then, but that's no matter-to-morrow we will run faster, stretch our arms farther. "
