Storyboard Text

  • Oh hi Jenny!
  • Are you going home? Do want to walk with me going to our neighborhood?
  • Yeah sure!
  • Hi Jade!
  • What is wrong?
  • How are you?
  • Um...okay
  • Oh I'm fine, how abou-
  • There is a commotion going on around the corner. Want to check it out?
  • What is happening there?
  • The people are protesting because they have complaints about the government.
  • Aren't the people scared of the government for opposing them and the possibility of being sent to jail?
  • We are a democratic country. In a democratic country freedom of speech and thought is valued. Hence, the government really value what the people want to say. Protesting is a way for people to express what they want to say since, democracy's basis is freedom of speech and thought, the government has to respect what the people might do even though if they might not like it.
  • Look the protest has stopped and it looks like the people and government representative have come to a solution.
  • That is right. We can see now that both sides now have come to an agreement. Democracy not only provides freedom of speech and thought but, it also provides a healthy relationship between the people and its leaders because the people vote its leaders through an election.
  • Thanks Jenny for all the information about democracy. I never knew how important our democracy is until now. Now I know why our ancestors fought so hard for our country to have a capitalist system.
  • Your welcome Jade. Glad I can be of help.
