  • Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries That thou hast done me. Therefore turn and draw. (3.1.67-68)
  • Scene 2
  • Tybalt is gone and Romeo banished (3.2.75)

  • Ha, banishment? Be merciful, say "death" (3.3.13)
  • Tybalt and Mercutio begin to duel and Romeo steps in to help. Mercutio is killed, and then Tybalt is killed by Romeo out of vengeance.
  • Scene 4
  • O' Thursday be it, then... Prepare her, wife, against this wedding day. (3.4.33-35)
  • Nurse comes backs and tells Juliet the news that Romeo killed Tybalt and has been exiled. Juliet is furious at first, but then is heartbroken that Romeo, her husband, is gone.
  • Scene 5
  • Hang thee, young baggage, disobedient wretch! (3.5.166)
  • Friar Lawrence tells Romeo he has been banished from Verona. Romeo is very upset because he can't be with Juliet now. He thinks that being in exile is a worse punishment than death.
  • While Juliet is crying in her chamber, Lord Capulet and his wife are making marriage arrangements with Paris. Lord Capulet thinks this will ease Juliet's sorrow about Tybalt's death. Paris will marry Juliet on Thursday.
  • After Romeo leaves Juliet in the morning after their last reunion, Lady Capulet comes and tells Juliet of the marriage arrangement to Paris. Juliet is shocked. Her father is furious and says that she is ungrateful and spoiled. He threatens to disown her if she won't marry.
