Today I am going to tell about the nitrogen cycle, and the key parts that allow this cycle to work.
The first step to this cycle is, Nitrogen Fixation- Special bacteria convert the nitrogen gas to ammonia which the plants can use.
The next step is called Nitrification, is the process which converts the ammonia into nitrite ions which the plants can take in as nutrients.
This cycle affects humans by geological forms that are sent back into the atmosphere by human actions which increase the amount of Nitrogen and affect the Nitrogen cycle.
Nitrogen is essential to all living systems, which makes the nitrogen cycle one of Earth's most important nutrient cycles. Eighty percent of Earth's atmosphere is made up of nitrogen in its gas phase.
Nitrogen is an important component of complex molecules such as amino acids andnucleotides which lead to the creation of proteins and DNA, the building blocks all life.
