The Doppler Effect Maliheh Bond 5th Period
The Doppler Effect is an increase or decrease in the frequency of sound, light, or other waves as the source and observer move away from or towards eachother.
When you hear an ambulance go by, the sound of the siren is a doppler effect.
When a train is coming by the whistle is at a high pitch but as it passes by it has a lower pitch. This is an example of the doppler effect.
Medical Technicians use the doppler effect to measure the rate and direction of blood in a patient's body.
My name is Christian Doppler, I named the Doppler Effect after me because it was my idea.
