Edgar Allan Poes
I think the title is The Raven because it foreshadows what is going to happen later in the poem.
"The Raven" By: Edgar Allen Poe
The poem is basically how he loses Lenore and how now everything is dark and gloomy now. He goes a little crazy because he can't live without her.
Connotation: Weak, weary, dreary, sorrow, darkness, scarce, fowl, dirges, melancholy, ungainly, grim, and demon.
Tone: Dark, scary, frightened. He is sad and will be haunted by his loss.
In the beginning he was sad, then when the knocking started happening and he became sad and worried of what might happen to him. Then I think he died by killing himself.
Theme: Depression and sadness because of Lenore.
