Juan's third and most famous journey was payed for by himself, and he left in 1513 with 200 men and 3 ships.
Juan landed on the coast of Florida on April 2, 1513, and he was BELIEVED to be looking for fountain of youth, but that was not true, it was just speculation.

After his big journey, Ponce de Leon settled down a bit, but he still found new land and treasure for Spain.
Sadly, Juan was killed when he was only 60. He died in 1521, by poison arrow from a native american.
