  • Macbeth Creative Assignment
  • Marcus Rawa
  • Macbeth is told that the second prophecy has come true. He is now Thane of Cawdor, and his belief in the witches increases.
  • You, sir Macbeth, are now Thane of Cawdor!
  • In this scene, Macbeth ponders if he should force the third prophecy to be completed, showing a change in his character from a loyal man, to a blindly ambitious swine.
  • To have the third prophecy come true, must I kill king Duncan?
  • Should I wait for the natural occurrence of my kingship?
  • My dearest, what is wrong?
  • Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo, because he is guilty, and this is his conscience showing that.
  • I see him, I see Banquo! Though he is dead!
  • You can only be killed when Birnam wood comes to Dunsinane, and only by someone not born of a woman. But you must be wary of Macduff.
  • Macbeth is given three more prophecies, but since two of them seem unlikely to ever happen, he is so sure that he is safe.
  • Macbeth now realizes that his time is almost up. He knows that after his decision to murder the king to complete the prophecies, he would eventually face dire consequences.
  • I can now accept that I won't be living a long life, I chose murder instead of patience. I was aware of the potential consequences.
