Miles is being driven to Culver Creek by his mother and father. In the background you hear Miles say "I go to seek the Great Perhaps."
Miles has come out of the shower to find his roommate, Chip Martin a.k.a. "The Colonel", unloading his belonging into the dorm. They both introduce themselves.
The Colonel and Miles go over to Alaska's dorm for cigarettes. She tells them an interesting story about "getting her boob honked" over the summer.
Alaska and Miles are laying under the stars reading "Cats Cradel" and drinking her stash of strawberry wine.
Miles, The Colonel, and Alaska are all celebrating in Alaska's room after their successful Barn Night. They drink and talk and smoke and eventually play truth or dare that leads to some "things". After the game Alaska gets a call where she freaks out and makes a quick escape.
Miles and The Colonel are at a funeral for a dear friend. They cry and comfort each other as they grieve.
